Hello there! Thank you for stopping by and checking out my photo blog. My name is Letitia, I am a photography enthusiast and have been for some time. It all started when I was a little girl and my dad gave me my first 110 film camera. Remember that dinosaur? I recall taking pictures of EVERYTHING! I gathered all my stuffed animals, dolls, and barbies on my bed for various group portraits. Are you laughing yet? I also had an unusual fascination with my cats behind. I would have my brother prop it up while I shot away. Don't ask...you don't want to know! Thank goodness I outgrew that phase of my life and instead changed gears and started photographing people and animals. When I graduated high school, my dad gave me my first SLR camera. It was an oldie from his collection. That baby was awesome!! It only had manual focus and the light meter was slightly off but boy was it fun!! I learned the basics with that camera and took it with me everywhere. It even came along with me on my first date with my husband to the zoo. I'll have to scrounge the picture I took of him up and share it on here one day.
Today you will still find me with a camera nestled in my hand. I've enjoyed learning more about photography with every shot I take. My 4 furry kids have been excellent subjects for this, I am thankful to them. Although a few cookies as payment doesn't hurt, either. There is an indescribable satisfaction when I present the photos I've taken of friends or family to them and their faces light up. Even more so when I see my art on their walls! Wow!
The picture above is my favorite portrait of myself with my husband. We are both candidly laughing, a side I don't usually see of myself. For this reason, I want to share this candid with you.
